How does this make sense? People waited on LONG lines to vote early, when they could have voted on Election day quickly?

I imagine people who work chose to vote on Sunday

I waited maybe 2 minutes in Toms River at 1 pm.
The lady in charge there said it was busy earlier.

I voted at the school on intermediate way.
I had a 10 min wait on line at 11:30.

Crown heights - close to an hour around 3 pm. But I was there at 9 am and then at 12 and the lines looked about the same. I didn't have time to wait then, so I left both times and came back at 3.

How is it that frum areas dont have any lines, supposedly because they voted early.

The other areas didnt have interest in voting early?

My neighborhood had lines. 45 minutes plug for most of the day. BH it only took me 25 minutes from when I walked in until I walked out.

Bayswater (Far Rockaway, NY) - lines were a little long for most districts. My line only had 2 people in front of me. But somehow those two people seemed to take forever. I don't get it because it took me about 30 seconds to register. Whatever, I still didn't spend too much time overall but it was a little weird.

People who went earlier in the day to that same polling site said they were there for an hour.

It was definitely the busiest I've ever seen it. I guess people aren't motivated enough to participate in midterm and local elections which is a shame because those can really be impactful.

What time did you go? I was there at 4:30-ish. They made me stand on the line by the door even though I knew what table I needed to go to. That line took about 2 minutes. Then I went to my district line and there were 5 people before me. That one took time. Oh, and only one of the people sitting at that table had a tablet, so the line was moving really slow. The whole thing took me 25 minutes.

Maybe a bit after 4:30. They said if you have your fast pass you could go ahead, and I spoke up and said I didn't bring my pass but I know which district I am, so she said ok you can go straight there. There were only 1-2 people ahead of me but they processed slowly. Could've been worse though.

My early voting place was in Brooklyn college and I didn’t want to enter any college campus at this time.
I voted by coney and newkirk and we waited at least half an hour to get the papers and then a few more minutes to wait to get a booth to fill out and another few minutes to put the papers into the scanner.
Since it’s about a 5-6 minute walk from my house it ended up taking an hour the whole ordeal.

That is precisely why I didn't vote early. I figured everyone would vote early so the lines wouldn't be so long in Election Day. The early voting site wasn't as convenient as my regular poll site, and I like to take my kids along with me when I vote, so I went at about 6:20 pm today. The lines went fast. I was out within 30 minutes if not less.
