Is 3,000/month unreasonable for a playgroup assistant? Hours 9:00 to 3:00. Opening a legal play group and need to know the appropriate salary.

It's actually on the higher end for an assistant. Most pay around $2500.

Also think 3000 is on the higher side for an assistant.

Also - how much to charge for late pickup? Like 4 instead of 3?

I paid anywhere from 50 to 75$ a month.

Make sure to have a late policy also (from 3:10 and on 1$ a minute) otherwise ppl who don’t pay for late pickup will come late anyways…

3000 is on the high end of average for illegal places, so I assume it's about average for a legal place.

How much are they paying for tuition till 3?
How much you can ask for the extra hr kinda depends on that.

I dont know your hours on Friday but lets say its until 12..They are working 27 hours a week, 108 hours a month. 3000 divided by 108 is $27 and change an hour..that;s a great salary..I made much less as an assitant!

I think 2800 a month makes the most sense, about $25 an hour/ $700 a week

Thanks everyone who chimed in! Is 10/hr reasonable to pay for the extended hour? From 3 to 4? I assume that's per hour as opposed to the monthly tuition which remains the same, no matter how many school days are actually in that month.
