Not looking to go over the top or spend a lot of money. Please list what you received in a welcome bag that you loved and what you got as a hostess gift.
Basically
I need ideas for easy/cheap make in advance, yet bekovidik welcome bags, hostess gifts and goodbye bags for the trip home.

water, some snacks, a paper to read (can even be a free local one if it has some reading and not just ads). If there are lots of kids maybe include more kid friendly snacks and some card game or other activity. Map and schedule of events. Depending on how long they’re there for maybe include a list of pizza stores, grocery stores, play areas etc.
For way home maybe have a pack your own brunch kind of buffet with assorted drinks and snacks too so everyone can pack what they need.

I did hostess gifts when my sibs got married.
Shabbos sheva brachos hostess gifts usually included a bottle of water, a package of chocolates, nuts and a some baked goods. I put in a small havdala set from ner mitzvah, a schedule of davening and meals, and a nice poem welcoming them to our simcha.
Together with that we'd send a mall pan of kugel and cholent, we never did a formal Friday lunch.

Havdala, kugel/ cholent you can only send if someone is staying in an empty house.
What would guests do with it if they are sleeping in someone's empty bedroom?
