ive been on keto past 9 weeks

dh suddainly has high blood pressure

one of my kids is underweighed and small and needs tons of nutrients/healthy fats (according to the doc)

one son has medical issues and needs special diet

one child recently gained a lot of weighed

SO NOW I COOK
keto
low sodium / low cholesterol
high fat/ nutriet dense
special diet
low callorie/low fat

its not soooo bad, as I can use several recipes for several people, but I must always have on the mind that each member of the family can have something he/she can eat and likes...

it feels a little challenging if you bring personal tastes/preferences into the game.

Keto often resolves hypertension because of loss of fluid volume. Mane sure anyone experiencing headache or flu like symptoms isn’t dehydrated. They may need salt.

For you and husband, keto might be enough. Just don’t eat what you make for others that doesn’t for in your way of eating. On keto there’s no need for low calorie/fat. Two different ways to lose weight that really should not be done together.

Except for the kid with special medical needs because you didn't specify, it sounds like everyone could benefit from going low carb

Hypertension responds to keto/low carb
Kid who needs fats and nutrient dense fits right in with keto
Kid who needs to lose weight too -- they need more fats, not less. They need less carbs. Same as keto.

I get not wanting your kids on full on keto. I would cook nutrient dense proteins and Fats for everyone, and nutrient dense carbs for those who can have like beans, squashes and sweet potatoes
