I received a notice that my children are no longer eligible for fidelis Medicaid and are going to be transferred to fidelis child health plus . Is there any difference in coverage? Do the doctors and services remain the same? Does one of them provide better coverage? I'm confused.

The coverage is basically the same but you will have to pay a premium based on your income, I think $25-150 per month per child give or take. However you still won't have to pay copay or deductible.

We switched recently from medicaid fidelis to chip fidelis. The problem isn't the small premium but the fact that chip doesn't cover as much as Medicaid.
My son needed orthotics (prescribed by a rheumatologist for joint issues) and it was denied
My son also needs braces or at least an oral appliance and it was denied
In both cases the secretaries told me that Medicaid would have approved it but chip didn't
There's nothing I can do though our income is a bit too high for Medicaid

Sorry I should have written CHP then. I thought it was the same thing and interchangeable

Oh no. I was hoping the coverage is the same
Besides for orthotdentist, did you have issues with other things being denied?
