Apple or android so I can download toveedo easily, parental controls where I can delete the browser and lock the App Store, no problematic apps that I can’t delete. Well priced a plus.
TIA

Afaik Apple iPad is the best for this. It's expensive but you get quality for that. Most of the Google Android ones are junk and won't withstand children. And the Amazon fire is very hard to lock for parents.

Hard to download Toveedo and hard to fully secure. I have it for my young child but once he knows how to read I'm going to have to change.

What’s the minimum it would cost? Are the parental controls like the iPhone where it works with a pin? Can I delete the browser? Do they have a child-friendly shock proof case compatible with it?

Google it. They run somewhere in the hundreds.
It's exactly like the iPhone without the ability to make phone calls. Same operating system. Plenty of really good cases too (but wasn't enough from my kids so depends how crazy your kids are.)

I haven’t tried restricting an iPhone for a while. Did you try getting rid of the browser altogether?

Last time I tried it was a simple one option. That was years ago. Don't remember anymore. But you can ask TAG, they like the iPad for this reason. (And hate the Amazon fire).

From looking at it for 5 seconds, it looks like an amazing price. Apple you should be able to do it yourself if you want to delete all apps and turn off the browser.
Remember, if you lose the pin you used to set the parental controls. It's gone forever so be careful. But don't let your kids find it either.
