We’re growing out of our 8 seater mini van and want a 10 seater. Really don’t want a 12 seater yet. Anyone know where I can find one? I know there aren’t many of them around

I don't know of any in the USA, unless you mean modified other vehicles. (Some places will put 3 child-size seats in the back of an SUV)

Transit makes a ten seater. I do not recommend it.

We just had the same issue. While I could be wrong, the impression we got is that a 10 seater and 12 seater are the same size, with different numbers seats. For this reason we opted for 12.
I will say - it's so nice to be able to offer rides to people! I may finally be able to carpool again after a long while of not having space.

.
It’s a different body than the 12 and 15 van and the brakes are different. They needed to be replaced several times over a few years and each time was very expensive.

I feel it will be hard to get a baby in and out. With a 12 seater you actually have to climb in the van to put the baby in. A mini van is so much easier. You don’t have to climb in

We have a Toyota Sienna but made it a 10 seater- we added a 4th seatbelt in the back row and replaced the front row console with a jump seat (including seat belt). Kids are ages 2-15, it fits all but the back bench is squishy. Do they kvetch on long trips? Yes. Can I afford $40,000 for a new van? No lol. We do try to get new CDs for long trips and it helps distract them.

The front row seat in place of a console is very unsafe as there isn’t proper air bag placement for a seat in that spot.

I think this car seat is only available in the UK, I needed it a few years ago ended up buying a Ford E150 because I could not get it. |
