What age do you send your kids to daycare? And do you work or not?

One kid started daycare at 2.5 years old, about 4.5 hours a day.
The rest were home till they started pre school at age 3-4.
Some kids are fine at home, while others need the company and stimulation.

I think kids benefit so much more from personal attention than a daycare. Maybe when they are 4 they need more action but before that they need much more attention than a daycare can ever give.

This depends on the child. Some kids really do need company & are just not happy at home.

I work, I had to send my kids to daycare before they were 1, and I wish I hadn't. If you have the option of not sending to daycare, don't. Or if you have someone from the family who can take care, it's much better emotionally for the child, especially for boys since they mature slower compared girls.

Lots of people say toddlers enjoy daycare and are bored at home.

But does it make a kids more creative and imaginative to learn to play independently as opposed to being entertained by a morah and lots of other kids?

first few kids, I had a roundrobin for my 2yos and each mother did a diff day of the week. It was for 4 hrs a day, 9-1.
I sent those kids to preschool at 3.

Next few kids no one was available for a roundrobin. Kept kids home with me in the day until 3yo playgroup.

Everyone is well adjusted.

I was a SAHM/worked from home in evenings so was available to be with kids and do roundrobins in mornings.

I work so my kids go as soon as my maternity leave is over. My first few kids that was 6 weeks, later ones I got 12 weeks.

First kid I did a small in home daycare- first one I did was awful, second (a bubby with an assistant) was amazing.

Second kid I did a nanny share for a year because I couldn’t get a daycare spot and then she moved to daycare at 13 months.

After that we got straight into daycare after maternity leave.
