My mother did tell me to expect some changes, and yes you can very much feel on your own body when they are there.

What is not safe about respecting your daughter enough to give her privacy and not making her get naked and be touched unnecessarily? No one said you can never touch your daughter but no, you don't get to feel her breasts just because you're curious if she started puberty. She can get examined by a doctor if she needs to.

My father was still taking me out of the bath at age 8. And my 9 year old son is perfectly fine running around naked in front of me . He is extremely self conscious and would never get naked in front of anyone else . I am his mother. . He’s supposed to be comfortable with me . And I remember developing breast buds at around age 10.5 and being nervous and asking my mother to feel them . Children are supposed to feel safe with their mothers.

Estrogen is stored in fat so chubbier kids can go through puberty earlier. Speak to her about that whole conversation and get her training bras or whatever you think she needs. There is no need for you to feel her chest I think she is old enough to rememeber and feel embarrassment later and if something should be looked at for concern that is the job of the pediatrition.

Ok so update. I got the gap undershirts recommended above. Loved the soft cotton/stretch material. Did not realize it has a shelf type bra built inside of it…my daughter hated it. Any similar materials but without the bra piece?
