How much does college/fafsa funding pay toward seminary in E

My daughter would like to go to Israel for seminary next year.
I know that alot of the seminaries work with college funding.
I think we are eligible if we apply.
How much funding can we get in total for the year?
I just want to know how much this will cost me out of pocket...
My daughter also mentioned thst she heard that if she takes credits over the summer then that can help towards extra seminary funding...

No one can tell you how much you'll get. It depends on various factors- your income, childs income, assets, how many other children in college, etc..
You can fill out the fafsa form once you know where you're applying and which college they go through. Or actually you might be able to apply even without knowing yet the name of the college, and add it in later.

Let me offer you the following explanation.
For this purpose, we will use Touro as the college.
Your daughter is going to go to seminary as a study abroad student. She will be enrolled in a US college/Touro that has an Israel option. She is a student of the US college/Touro. In order to go as a study abroad student, she needs at least ONE semester as a student already in that school. She CANNOT go abroad for her FIRST semester. THEREFORE, she MUST be enrolled for the summer semester at TOURO, BEFORE she goes. She will have to take courses at Touro and do work during the summer. YOU will pay for the summer semester at Touro (possibly through funding from the US govt, but not necessarily). THEN, when she goes to EY she is going to get funding and credits through Touro. The US govt will send the money to Touro which will pass it on to the seminary in EY. I don’t know if Touro has a charge to be a student there, but they might, so you might not see all of the Pell grant deducted from your bill.
Your daughter might also have to do some work for Touro (or whatever program she goes through) while she in in EY.

if your daughter is a resident of NY, there is also NY state funding, which can be $5000+.

Do some real research and speak to the colleges involved.
In general FAFSA is a mess, screwed up so many last year and it doesn't look like they cleaned up for this year.

My story is different because we planned on sending her to local Lakewood places so we were eligible for a lot of NJ funding.
Full tuition is $18000 and we paid a $4000 deposit. We went through TTI (costs $3000) and were told that we are eligible between state and federal for $11000-$12000. Great.
My daughter started taking the summer classes.

In late July, we were contacted that the affiliated college (Pillar University) was being audited and they couldn't relieve the cost of college to those who were only partially eligible.
We were given a choice either to pay the university $13000 over 18 months yet get the seminary tuition totally covered + degree + some tax credits.
Or we could decline college, pay the remaining $14000 to seminary over 12 months, no degree, no tax credits, get the $3000 from TTI reimbursed.

That's for being low middle class. Eligible for partial help, but not eligible for Pillar to waive the cost.

Whatever. We chose to continue with college because the dollar amounts were very close, and Pillar offers a full bachelors degree not just an associate degree over 2 years.

But the experience made me wary of anyone who makes promises.

Aren’t some seminaries legally colleges in America. Like those part of neve so you don’t have to have a second party college (I did this years ago)
(my son is in a yeshivish beis medrish that is a college and takes fafsa with no go between)

TTI told me when I called last year that the max you get from fafsa is around 11,000. Some of that goes towards the college you enroll in such as TTI… so around 8000 off your seminary bill.
Edited to say, this was told to me 2 years ago as dd was in seminary last year.
