I've been doing billing for 8+ years and I'm curious if I am woefully underpaid. Can u post how much you make and how many hours per week you work?

I was making $32 an hour last year doing billing after a couple of years experience and felt very underpaid, so I left to another industry.

Idk I work for one of the big companies in Lakewood and $35-$50 sounds high to me. We hire at $27 to $32 and give $2 to $3 raises a year.

Salaries are not increasing right now at the same rate as the last 2-3 years and companies are not hiring as much.

Yes but op says she has 8 years experience… I did billing and was making $35 arnd 3 years ago…so $35-$50, 3 years later sounds abt right.
I also had less experience than the op

If someone has 8 years experience

Right I guess at my company someone who's good and here eight years would probably be a supervisor already so that $35-50 especially on the higher end of it is 100% supervisor money.

ALSO this $27 starting salary is super recent, it was definitely not that eight years ago. I have over 11 years experience in the field, I manage six employees and I'm making in the low 40s an hour.

I hope it's ok to say this but I'm assuming you are greatly underpaid for a supervisor. You can definitely ask for way more
At this point I don't want to be a supervisor.

What makes you say that? What data do you have to share? I'm not offended just curious

I as a biller with alot of experience get paid $55 hourly.
Supervisors should be making minimum 80k for 9-3. I think you should reach out to a recruiter to get more accurate numbers, or maybe other billing supervisors on here can chime in.

Nice, I think that's great! I'm so happy for you. I don't think you are being underpaid. I'm curious appx what size company you work for and what benefits they give in terms of insurance and pto.
