Pulling out a few of ds 5 teeth. Is this considered surgery?can they do it without sedation? Am I looking for a pediatric dentist or oral surgeon?

No, pulling out baby teeth is not surgery. However you need to consider your son's general comfort level while at the dentist. If he isn't usually nervous, no problem. Otherwise you may want to consider nitrous oxide. This is something to discuss with his dentist before making an appointment for the procedure.
