I keep seeing ads for the loop. Get two months free but it’s a six months commitment. $18/month
Is this worthwhile for an 8 year old boy who is super bored after school? Realistically how long can this entertain him.

No idea what "the loop" is, but what about bike riding, sports, cooking, collecting different plants and bugs in the neighborhood, reading, etc. for after-school entertainment?

It will be dark when they get home from school soon. And there’s about 4 hours of time at home.

We live in Israel. My 7.5-year-old son is not so into it. He likes to play the games every now and then, and listen to the stories when he remembers about it.
I personally am super-impressed by the platform, even though it's a little too Lakewoody for me. (I say this as a born-and-bred Lakewooder lol)
I pay it happily because it sharpens my kids' English skills.
