This time last year we were in middle of very intense AMA phrase.
I started a popular one or two, I remember on Chol Hamoed responding to both, one serious and one silly.
Of course, there were all the complaints about how people's homepages were being clogged by AMAs. And the replies, they're labeled AMA, just skip it.
Of course the craze stopped abruptly after what happened last year, replaced by lots of sad news and processing.
I'm kind of missing those more innocent times. Anyone else?

Well 95% of the posts are still innocent. It's not like this site is being swarmed by sad news.

Of course. At the time the content of the site took a turn, but it recovered. I still feel like there's something missing. Maybe it's really just the people of my life. There's a certain undercurrent of seriousness or sadness. I feel like people aren't as silly or playful as they used to be.
I'm not complaining, really just reminiscing.

I checked again. I think last year was definitely more playful. I think there's more negativity all around. Guess I'm contributing to it right now LOL.

IMHO the AMAs, past the first one or two, were, like many crazes, annoying, irritating, distracting, puerile, and a waste of bandwidth. I'm glad they're gone. There are better ways to be playful and lighthearted.
