There are different things at different brands.
L‘Oreal, Maybelline, NYX, Max Factor are classic reputable brands.
It’s easier to try out things at drugstore

Essence and SHEIN hands down! Love the essence blue mascara and white/beige eyeliners. Creamy consistency that doesn’t dry up.
SHEIN has palettes that are pigmented and I love this eyeliner

I also have their cream stick highlighter, lip liner and cream blush and like them a lot.
Nyx and maybeline fit me concealer
I don’t think it’s about one brand but specific items each brand has that are great

Neither would I. But drugstore brands aren't much better. Most cosmetics are full of known toxins. Unless it's a "cleaner" brand.

Why? If you go through the photos the last one is a lab test to check for heavy metals and it passes certification.

I use different things from NYX, Elf, Rimmel, and Maybelline. I think the only thing I still buy brand name is foundation.

I once did. Had to throw most out. It made my eyes burn so badly. Only the brow filler stuff was ok.

Mascara: I love the essence brand. Cheap and doesnt irritate me at all.
Liner: I like revlon quickliner or rimel equivalent, maybelline version too
Shadow and lipstick: I dont love what I have
Blush, bronzer, highlighter sacara (im in israel)
Lipstuff I buy different brands. I dont have a favorite. I am not into long lasting lip products.
For foundation, I splurged and dont regret it. It is exactly my color.
