Is 14000 shekel/month (before tax) a good salary in israel?

We have 3 kids, rent would be 5000 shekel I would also work. I just wanted to check if my husband's remote job income is a decent salary there. He doesn't get any other benefits sadly.

How old are the kids? What type of community? Id say if not teams and a low key community, you should be fine but you'd have to be careful.

No, because after tax and mandatory hafrashot its about 10,000 nis, which is a very average salary.

I do not think you can make it on that on that with a 5k rent unless you are working full time, making a similar amount, and maintain an average standard of living.

Is this an american income?
If you are routing it thru a company that gives him a tlush, you will end up with an additional 5% that needs to be taken off

We're a family of 7 (5 young kids) living fairly frugally (5000 rent, no car, no vacations, hardly any red meat, no hosting guests, no babies - all kids in subsidized cheder/school). I earn about 22,000 before tax, ends up 18,000 after (not American, not sure if that has an impact). We don't usually have much left over.

We're a family of 9 and combined income is 28000 before tax. We live as simply as possible but have quite high therapy costs for some of the kids. We just scrape through. 14 is really a squeeze.

Work it out.

5000 rent
1200 utilities
250 transport
650 babysitting for under school age
350 bituach leumi
250 shoes/clothes per month (ie 3000 per year)
5000 food

That's already 13 with no extras at all and being extremely careful.

We add:
4500 school fees for cheider, yeshiva, college courses (older kids)
450 supplementary health insurance
1000 transport for kids who learn further from the house
2000 food because our family is bigger than yours
250 more per month clothes/shoes
1600 therapy costs
1200 extra lessons for kid who is struggling
1600 extra curricular (I see as an investment for those kids who use it to earn their pocket money)

Another 13000 before you've blinked. That's without a car, without any toys/games/books, no eating out at all, buying food in bulk on sale, no meat except for yomtov, chicken on Shabbos, baking my own bread. Life is expensive.
