Does anyone have experience using them? Is it worth it as an alternative to insurance? How much do they cover?

We're OOT, if that matters. Would it still make sense to get it?

We have it.

Pros: every doctor is covered - everywhere in the US.
you get reimbursed over the Medicaid rate
Unlimited Telehealth

(some local clinics and doctors accept them straight out, and bill them directly. No need to get reimbursed)

Cons: you have have to wait to get reimbursed, so you need the money upfront.
They actually review the "need" for the visit
Pre-existing conditions are not covered
No drugs

In my experience, specifically for pregnancy related coverage, they only covered apprx 1/3 of the cost of my high-risk pregnancy. I signed on with them thinking I’d be covered with my out of network dr but I ended up paying most of it out of pocket. Personally it wasn’t worth it for me.
From what I understand now, Liberty healthshare wouldve covered the entire cost at the time.

I understand your question wasn’t pregnancy related, but based on my experience, you can assume that they cover standard medical issues but limit the more costly doctors or procedures.

Drugs would be a big one since we'll probably have to do deal with SIF at some point or other.

Not sure what they would do as far as preexisting conditions go. They might not share for the first not sure how long. Year? Less? More?

Sorry for your experience.

Just wondering, why would you assume Liberty would pay? Don't they basically have the same rules?

Last time I checked they don't cover anything related to infertility.
