Just wondering, you're going to travel a few hours just to see fall foliage?
(I'm a huge lover of nature, but still...)

The Palisades parkway is beautiful, or seven miles road or something like that.

You should probably post your location
(Sorry for another comment with no advice, I'm usually not like that!)

With Sukkos so late this year, fall foliage viewing is a wonderful outing for those who appreciate it.
DH and I take a long drive every year to marvel at the leaf change. This year our younger son (not yet married, the last good boy left!) and possibly a a grandchild with zitzfleish will join us.
A site that reports on leaf change is:
https://www.foliagenetwork.com//
and for Maryland because the site above is showing reports from 2 years ago:
https://news.maryland.gov/dnr/.....2024/

My kitchen window! Ahhh! But sorry I’m not really letting in guests today. I’m barely getting it together here after 3 days of kids and stuff.

Monsey? Can’t you just go to any local trail or park?

Definitely palisades, 6, Bear mountains, Seven Lakes Drive They should all be beautiful now. No need to travel when you have it all in your backyard:) unless travel is the goal?
