I did it in a 9x13 pan. I think I did it for 40 minutes but I was so busy that im really not 100% sure. I just kept looking at it until it was getting brown and firm on top.
I also shredded the broccoli and sauteed it.

Nope. 9" round holds half of a 9x13.

I mean to say that the amount that fills a 9" round will be flat.
I understand I will need to fill 2 of the 9" rounds.

if I saute the broccoli together with the onions will the recipe still work?
saute-ing shrinks the veg.
