Hi, has anyone successfully filtered their CAT flip phone? I've asked a couple of frum filter companies but they said they were unable to filter it for me.

I did it myself. You can use the android programming app to uninstall apps and browsers and all social apps. I even deleted messaging.

Gentech did it for me but some apps constantly crash, not sure If it's the filter or the phone.

I did it with smart something filter at tag. They were not excited to do it for us. We run into problems here and there where they need to open it up for us so we can get some of the apps working like map go, google maps and so on. It does slow it down though.

Of course it’s filterable. Every yeshiva in my city has this phone on their approved list, but you have to get it through one of the companies that sells it pre-filtered. My son has this phone, it is so locked down that we can’t even update it without sending it back.
I believe our local seller works with BSD Phones. Our guy’s name is Perry Sapperstein. I can post his contact info if you want. He won’t even put whatsapp on the phones, just a few apps and no browser.

It can definitely be filtered. Tag and other filtering "businesses in ultra orthodox communities choose not to put it on the list of phones they will service because they don't like the idea of a smart phone looking like flip phone. Other offices will do. Use a generic filter company not a frum one..
