Hi. We are spending succos in Israel. Is Badatz mehadrin yerushalayim hechsher comparable to American ou? Please advise. Tia.

No. I eat American OU but not Badatz mehadrin Yerushalayim

Nothing is comparable. It's a different system and alot of politics inserted and not just kashrus.

I eat it. Ask your LOR.

That is most likely what they mean. The Rabbanut recently changed the appearance and naming on the teudot

There are actually Rabbanim for Americans that work full time to differentiate what is politics and what is kashrus in order for more Americans to be able to be able to eat those.
I think BMG has a list they give to people that come.
Rabbi Weiner is very knowledgable on this.
