Anyone do it? Anyone get in trouble?

If you’re checking a bag it’s impossible, right?

It’s $400 more to just go to Warsaw than to Warsaw and then Cluj (for example). Ridiculous Twisted Evil

What's skiplagging? You mean hidden city ticketing?

Yeah

Is there any way to do it while checking a bag?

I've never actually done it but from my understanding there's no way to check a bag.

my daughter got caught…
it was not fun.

She did not have luggage with her.
They wanted her to check her carry-on.
and she didn’t want to, obviously.
And they immediately flagged her.

They threatened her that if she didn’t get on the plane in our city, they would charge her $500 (the cost of buying a new ticket on the spot) and ban her from their airline for life.
my husband was on the phone with them for a while, and she was trying all kinds of things. But she was ultimately left with no choice.
Thankfully, it happened on the way home, and not in the way to her vacation because she would have been in the WRONG place!! And she would not have met her friends there, BH, she was only a few hours away by public transportation. Still cost her to get home, and she missed an extra day of work.

It was traumatic.
She will never try it again.

HOW IS THIS LEGAL???

If you buy two lattes and only drink one, that’s your choice! You’ve paid for them, what you do with them is up to you.

I’m so sorry for your daughter, that sounds like a horrible experience.

What if someone said “go ahead, charge me, I’ll dispute it?”

It probably says in fine print, when purchasing the ticket, that you aren’t allowed to do it. So you’re legally in the wrong.

We’ve done it.
It’s not illegal but the airlines are allowed to make whatever rule they want.
No checking in luggage.
You travel with a small backpack that they won’t tell you there’s no room for overhead baggage, bc it fits under the seat in front of you.
It’s risky, but can be worth it if you’re saving lots of money.

For those asking, you buy a ticket with a stop off in your intended destination bc a direct ticket is more money.
Basically you skip the second part. Airlines here that ppl do it, for some reason it’s a loss for them.
You cannot do it both ways, they will not let you in. So its a one way deal.

Your luggage will end up in the final destination of the ticket.

I've done it a few years ago ticket Cleveland to Myrtle beach, stopover in Newark. It was 1/2 of the price. I left earlier than family so I didn't have luggage, but a general rule, they're more likely to make you check in a small rolling carryone ( at ticket counter or gate) than A soft one.
When you check in luggage it goes to final destination.
