Kidney stones are excruciating. Child birth the pain comes in waves. And it's not as painful. I have had 4 babies. I would take child birth over kidney stones any time. The body opens up for the baby to come out whereas the urinary tract cannot do that for stones. Medications can help with that but it still hurts a ton. But I know people who think child birth is impossible and always ask for an epidural.

OMG , I'm terrified of passing the stone. That's the part that's horrible? How long does it take to pass?

Kidney stone is like back labor that just won’t stop. Labor comes and goes but the pain does linger. I needed surgery for the kidney stone since it was so large. Labor pain though I think is much stronger once your 7-9cm but the end is closer within view.
