My 3 week old sleeps best at night when I put a neck fan around him in his bassinet. But it's battery powered, and we have a 3-day yom tov coming up and it won't last. Can anyone help me come up with something similar that might help?

What’s a neck fan?

It kind of looks like headphones but it goes around the neck and blows air.

They are rechargeable, but don't "plug in" so it can't be constantly on for 3 days. Last night, yom kippur I ended up sleeping holding my baby--which was better than not sleeping, but I don't want to do that for yom tov.

You blow your 3 week old while he's sleeping?? Something about that just feels unhealthy to me.

(Eta that I assumed 3 month. 3 week scares me so so so much more!! When a baby has air on his face he's forced to swallow. Blowing him while he's sleeping really doesn't seem safe AT ALL)

Try a sound machine for a similar white noise sensation.

Nothing in the bassinet except the baby. Try a white noise machine, I like the Yogasleep one. Or search safe 7 for safer cosleeping.

How about a plug in fan near the bassinet? Like a rotating stand fan?
Is it the white noise? Get a cheap one from amazon... I got one for like $20 and it has a bunch of sounds.
Is it temperature? Stand fan.

I would not put anything in the crib itself. Not safe. And nothing blowing constantly and directly on the baby...
