Me at my father’s house (the very air reeks of toxic shame, disappointment, and anxiety. I need to get out of there asap): “kids we have to run home we still have to make another suda!” Said in a rushed anxious voice for full affect.
Me when we get home: “okay kids here’s the switch and the laptop” (while I go into my room and try to breathe and process).
