I’m a SM, they come from China.
Biggest difference is that they are perfected by the brands who work hard to make the thickness and hair texture right ..

They aren’t THAT different. A brand will usually stand behind their product for x amount of time though if any issues pop up after you buy it

Many girls I know now are buying their wigs directly from China for a fraction of the price, and you’d never be able to tell

Some of them aren't that different, but some from china are junk so unless you have a reliable seller you won't know.

Wig companies source the hair elsewhere and “hire” a Chinese factory to “make the wig”.
Made in China means the wig was assembled in China. It does not mean the hair is Chinese.

From the Indian temples. They sacrifice their hair to the idols.

Many rabonim who have gone down to investigate have found this false.
They don’t sacrifice the hair
They shave themselves bald for the idols.
Did you do research on this before posting as a fact?
Majority of hair does not come from that.
( Indians are never blond)
Most come from people in poor countries who will sell their hair for money.
A lot of blonds come from Eastern European countries.
Brazil is a popular place
And China for dark sleek hair.

You're saying that all wig companies that get their wigs from China have Indian hair. You know this, how?

I brought wigs from China and Jewish brands.
This is what I find
If using someone reputable the quality of hair is similar
I asked SM when cutting and she felt quality was similar to Irene

But the construction is not equal and looks more wiggy on top. I would only use with bangs.
I cut bangs and it looks beautiful
Love my fall from them as well but had to remove a ton of wefts.

My friends have found at sales for similar prices to the China wigs

Dayan A D Dunner personally went down with his Rebetzenb to get to the bottom of it. He gave a first hand account to our Kehillah which I heard from his mouth. .

Majority are.
Loads get dyed different colours and many end up being treated. Hence you have what is termed as processed.

I have great respect for Dayan Dunner, shlita, and his rebbetzin, tlita, and I suggest that anyone who comments, even if they haven't heard of the Dunners, approach what they say with respect.
What are the Dayan's recommendations?

This was a scandal years ago. I think nowadays wig companies stay away from Indian hair. I know my SM uses Brazilian hair for her wig line.

He said at the time that as painful as it is, (he had women come to him sobbing) one must not wear these wigs as it is תקרובת עבודה זרה. (He gave his personal testimony to Rav Elyashiv Zt"l and he gave the ultimate psak)
He said the hair gets shipped all over and then it's hard to establish that the original origin was India.
