Anyone else in third trimester and was told to do IV before the fast? Does it help? How?

Who told you to do IV?

When I was in my third trimester my doctor told me it was dangerous for me to go 24 hours without fluids so my Rav told me to drink shiurim.

Probably not. You'll still be hungry and thirsty and have a headache like everyone else but at least your body won't be dehydrated.

I didn’t do iv, but just fasted tisha bav in my third trimester and bh it wasn’t that terrible. drank and ate lots before the fast. Tried to sit on the couch as much as I could, also got up to help the kids when needed. I did feel some contractions that went away the next day after I ate well bh. I was around 35 weeks then.

I did iv last Yom Kippur I was a week before due date. I didn’t wanna have false labor from dehydration. Dr and rav said iv is ok. I had hep lock put in on erev and at one point during the day when I started getting lightheaded and I noticed that I was not peeing often ,which in 3rd trimester I pee very often, I realised I need to connect my fluid.
It was great . I didn’t have headache I don’t didn’t get contractions I didn’t feel so weak. Listen I was fasting so I was hungry and wanted to eat but I would definitely recommend, if you have a heter .
Ps I went a week overdue…

I’m in my third trimester too, rav said to drink shiurim. But on a daily basis I drink a ton and my body needs more water. Should I get an iv too? I’m really nervous. I just got over a kidney infection and I get migraines very easily.
