we were thinking of like an appreciation gift before yuntif, something along those lines. shes a great boss!

I don't think it's necessarily appropriate. Maybe a card is really like you know. Design a little card. Write a card or something. gifting up gets dicey.

Specifying that she's female changes things a bit.
Still agree with singleagain on it being inappropriate, knowing that she's female makes me feel better in case you decide not to listen to us.

We've done meat boards or wine.
We also did shabbos table gifts from Waterdale.
We also did a pretty salad bowl and serving pieces from a local gift store.
It is really fine to gift. Everyone likes being thought about.
Mines not chasidish but all the employees are. Hi workmates!
If your gifting a principal, from the teachers, for sure it's done.

I’m chassidish and have received gifts from my not chassidish and some not Jewish staff. Once all my staff got me a giftcard to a spa. I’ve also received and appreciated Fancy chocolates
Table decor.
* for context, I am a clinical director and I supervise various therapists
