There was also a story recently (not even sure which magazine) about a woman visiting her parents' home. IIRC, she saw her parents sitting at the table, and her mother offered her a drink. She checked the pocket of her father's coat and found $20 there.
If I understood correctly, they weren't actually there.
Anyone else think so?
Is this also one of the new writing styles?
I understand that poetry is supposed to be subject to interpretation. I think a story should be clear, not expect me to imagine what's really happening.

I also noticed this. I assumed it was supposed to be a memory, but it was confusing.

It didn't trigger you mabe but someone else might be triggered by it. My nephew was born with some health issues and I remember being terrified to get close to him for fear of losing him.
Did not understand the story though.
