I toilet trained my boys to make wees sitting, my son is almost 6 and I feel like he’s too old to still be sitting, A) because it’s not working he lands up making a mess everytime as gets wee on his hand or on his shirt etc and B) doesn’t seem right as in he’s almost 6 seems old.
When do most boys start standing to wee?

Usually shortly after toilet training. Once they have the hang of toilet training, then I switch to standing. Some might prefer to sit for a bit longer, but it doesn't usually take long. One ds needed a step to stand on to reach the toilet.

Why would he be too old to be sitting? I wish my son would still sit, when he stands he sprays urine all around the toilet seat! And sometimes on the floor as well! Teach him how to push it in properly and to wash his hands afterwards.

My son started off sitting for a few weeks
But once he got the hang of it he started standing and it’s much easier

My son started off sitting and still sits at home but at Daycamp and Cheder they taught the boys to stand and they’re toilets are lower so now at 3.5 he stands in Cheder but still sits at home.
