Always size down. My 2 year old is wearing size 18 months from them and it’s roomy. Other brands she’s a 2/3

I can never buy my newborns things from there because the smallest size is too big, so I think you'd have to try that and be prepared to return. Or buy 2 sizes.

Not sure if it matters that its not officially a baby size but I got my 24 month old a 2/3 t-shirt and its way too small on her.

I go a size smaller than Carter's except for some of the boys T-shirt for whatever reason they started to run smaller.

My 2 yr son is wearing 3T shirts and 2T pants tho I think the 3 are too big...

How does your 1yo wear 4-6? My petite 4 month old is wearing that size and it is slightly big but 2-4 months wasn't fitting anymore...

I don't find that they run so big. Maybe a bit bigger than American sizes but not a full size bigger. Maybe half a size bigger. It also depends on the clothes. I don't find them to be so consistent in sizing and some items will be larger than others. Their pants in the baby section run big since they are made the same proportion as the shirts but babies tend to have shorter legs proportionately...

I agree massive!
My just turned 3 year old is wearing age 1.5-2 baby grows although he's petite/short for his age. And that's still a bit big on him!
