Does anyone know if there is any value in fasting until chatzot hayom, midday?
I'm a horrible faster, it always flattens me like the flu. In my community, women usually do fast and our rav holds they should. In the past, I have skipped many minor fasts because it makes me feel so bad. I didn't ask for a heter because I know our rav's view on that.
But I want to show I'm making some effort towards Hashem. Is there any value in trying to fast until midday? Or is that useless, and I might as well not fast at all?

Yes
It should be easier to get a heter a week before yom Kippur
Is there a chassidish rav you can ask

Maybe. But finding and asking a chassidish rav seems like dishonest heter shopping. We are plainly not chassidish.

One year I was on antibiotics, which needed to be taken with food, and was told to fast until chatzot.

OP ask your Rav,
The fast has been pushed off so many Rabonim say it's ok not to fast in this case, including those who are very strict usually.
Simply explain how it affects the following days and ask if you aren't feeling good after chatzos if you can break it.

It's a nidcha this year so yes until chatzos is more than enough. Especially as you'll be fasting in less than a week.

As far as I know there's no real value until chatzos.

You obviously know of the chassidish hetarim, so speak to your ruv if they apply to you, especially for such a minor fast.

Eta,
DH says there is value until midday, especially in minor fasts according to some. Ask Lor
