Leak salad?
Slice leak thinly, add chopped tomatoes,
Add dressing shortly before serving, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, lots of onion powder.
Mix in cashew nuts or crunchy onions.

Sautee leek. Add cabbage. Add s+p & some duck sauce. Cook down til soft.

Leek Rugelach

Saute thinly sliced leeks
Spread mustard on malawach dough rounds and top with fried leeks.
Cut into triangles and roll up like a rugelah.
Bake

I also love leek just roasted whole. Its not literally whole bc you have to slit and remove each layer to wash well but then just dress in oil and salt and roast. It burns quickly so watch out. It's crispy and delicious and looks beautiful plated

Leek pie/knish
Fry 2 onions and 2 large leeks until they start to golden
Once cool add 3-4 eggs, salt, Pepper & garlic powder
Put in a basic quiche/knish pie crust -sorry not near my recipe book for a few hours.
Bake.
Freezes really well.

I’d love to try this! Do you roast them with the layers separated or put back together after washing? And for how long and at what temperature?

Separate. 425 but keep an eye and flip
