I would take any recipe, significantly cut down sugar, and use spelt flour

Honey cakes usually have a lot of sugar in them
Cut back on the sugar
Try using some whole wheat flour
At the end of the day, it is a cake…

Cut down sugars by 1/3
Replace half of oil by apple sauce
Use w/w (personally I don't like cakes with whole wheat flour.)
Or even better make a delicious honey cake and eat half of what you were planning on eating!!!

Not a superfood but a homemade cake with spelt or healthier flour, less than half sugar & healthy oil is really not too bad.

I cut sugar by more than half & I'm yet to have a cake that's not sweet enough.
Olive or Alvacado oil is healthier than applesauce.
