How long is a piece of string?

Different sizes have different weights.

Google informs me that the average weight of a medium zucchini is 196 gram.

So just buy 2 zucchini’s and chop them up and put in however much you want. It’s a soup not rocket science.

Ok so if in your judgement they’re really small, put in 3. What exactly will happen to your soup if it’s a little more or less zucchini.

It's just soup the exact weight doesn't matter.

For this recipe I used 5-6 lbs zucchini for creamy soup. Does that help you?

Put in less water than in calls for and you can always add more if the consistency is too thick.

The stores in Brooklyn sell large ones that weigh over 1.5 lbs (I hate those).
I like the medium ones. And only buy the more expensive small ones for specific recipes.
