Why do you think that?
With credit cards, you can't be sure they're not saving your data in a way that can be hacked.
With PayPal, all I do is connect to the app on my phone which doesn't pass the security credentials to the website so even if there's a data breach on the website, they can't spend money from my PayPal account...

Safer for your own personal computer and financial data, maybe a little, though still not safe. For our brothers and sisters in the IDF and around the world—far from safe; SHEIN militantly supports Palestine. Temu supports the CCP, also a horrific group. Better to shop at Poshmark, Mercari, eBay, Amazon, H&M, or your local gemach.

Are the cheap Chinese brands sold on Facebook really better than SHEIN or temu? (I don’t purchase from either of those places but have wondered if maybe I should stop buying those weird Chinese brands of clothing since they’re probably made with the same slave labor and questionable materials as all the other places mentioned).

Besides for the safety of personal information, the actual clothing aren't safe, from what I understand.
They have been tested, and dangerous chemicals and urine were found in them.
Apparently there aren't any bathroom breaks for factory workers which is why urine is found on the clothes.

No it's the same thing probably.

Not an answer to OP, but in my community there's a sale for "frum" clothing for klei kodesh families. A neighbor just told me that some of the dresses were from SheIn, so her family ordered them directly for cheaper than the "sale." I was appalled that the sale was even selling SheIn. (I buy from SheIn, but a "frum" sale shouldn't be getting from there and marking up.)
