My 8th grader loves math and would really like to learn on a higher level or something that challenges him. Any online resources, free or not? I would even consider enrolling him in a class if he could do it in the evenings.

I'd suggest taking a look at Kahn Academy (https://www.khanacademy.org/math) first to see where he's at and if he has any gaps, since it's free.

If he really wants a challenge, though, there's Art of Problem Solving: https://artofproblemsolving.com/ - This is one of the higher-level curricula online I've seen. They even have ones designed for math competition students. Both self-paced and online afternoon/evening courses are available. Not free.

You can ask if he’s interested in starting to learn coding, it’s fun and speaks to a logical math brain. There’s many online courses and it can be very useful for his future

Any suggestions for good courses? This is something that a few of my kids would like.

I second art of problem solving, they also have books to use. When I was in high school (public school in usa) we used that in my enrichment math class. math competitions/prep materials are going to be better for him because then he isnt learning things he could still learn in school if he is. its definitely more interesting than standard algebra and geometry.

My DS does competition math and AoPS is what they use. Some people like the Russian math books also.

Also, Martin Gardner has fun puzzles and other games that stretch kids mathematically, my DS likes doing those.
