PSA Leggings Gym Etiquette

Honestly, I didn’t think this needs to be a PSA but life surprises us. I go to a frum gym for physical therapy. They have the exercise equipment in front of the mat exercise area. I was on the mats. There was an older woman in front of me on the Exercycle, about 65-70 years old. Due to the nature of the exercise and lack of leggings I could very clearly see all the way up. And I mean ALL. THE. WAY. UP. She was not wearing underwear, as was very apparent.

I’m MO, and I understand there’s some discomfort in wearing pants. But you’re amongst women ONLY. And you can wear a skirt on top. But you can’t convince me that that was more tznius than wearing a pair of leggings.

This is an image that will be seared into my brain and I’m not thrilled about it. And there was no nice way to inform that poor woman that she was giving everyone on the mats an R rated exhibition. So please, please, I beg you, wear leggings to the gym.

Agreed that that's weird but I also don't want to see your underwear at the gym either.

I agree with that too. I just figure leggings would solve most issues

What does her age have to do with anything? Would her privates have been less repellent had she been nineteen? Your ageism is showing. That's as ugly as her privates

I meant that I expected a presumably mature woman to have the sense not to do something like that. I don’t expect this from anyone over the age of 2 which is why it was particularly shocking of someone who should have such common sense at that point
