You are lucky! Most toddlers don’t do well with that schedule and won’t sleep so late.

Thank you guys for the suggestions!
It could be the nap schedule is throwing him off, he takes his nap at 1 and then goes to sleep at 7. I wish I could have his nap earlier but it won’t work with our schedules so maybe moving bedtime could help…
And amother watermelon, I so appreciate what you said, helps the mom guilt ease a little bit❤️

7pm bedtime is for toddlers that don't nap. I would try 9pm.

Uh no.... all my kids have a 7/7:30 bedtime with naps. My kids would be so overtired.

7 is super normal with naps! I think what's not common here is starting a nap 1. Most kids that age that I know start their naps 11:30/12.

Not for a 14 month old who naps for 30 minutes. He is still a baby

I think - as long as you limit it to just that hour a day, don’t feel guilty.
(Says a mom whose kids watch too much but BH have been cutting back)

Frankly it sounds like a normal schedule to me. Yes they end up waking at 5 this way.
Try to put him to bed with you and show with all your might that it’s still sleeping time. He may go back to sleep.
Another thing can be maybe he already feels an urge to urinate that wakes him but he doesn’t realize it.

Or maybe he doesn’t need a nap anymore. One of my kids was done with naps with 14 months. He couldn’t fall asleep at bedtime and woke up during the night so I quit napping.
Some kids don’t need naps that long, others nap until they are much older.
