No. I did not make him sleep on a bed of straw. That’s so Rabbi Akiva’s times.

And in general, he’s an adult and I don’t make my husband sleep. He can figure that out on his own, unlike our offspring who need hand on assistance plus multiple reminders plus rewards/threats and everything in between till my sanity is gone.

NO!
The mitzvah is to be a martyr and serve your family a combination of every single magazines full Yom tov menu. Doesn’t matter your stage, koiches level or family’s food preferences. If you serve basics you’re not yoitzah the mitzvah of becoming a shmattah*.HOW can you come into yomtov without your shmattah baggage???

*Doesn't include those of us who are yoitzah on overwhelmingness and koicheslessness on even simple basics.

I hope not. They are as annoying to look at as they are annoying to wear. All those mannerisms, pushing them out of the way. Good riddance--not that I've noticed their disappearance. Maybe ladies in my neck of the woods hold on to their sheitels longer than average.
