Hi,
My kids want to play Chinese jump rope and I vaguely remember some steps, but not sure I got them right, can someone post the complete steps?
Here is what I vaguely remember
1- kick both strings
2- step on each string
3- jump with feet crisscrossed on both 3 times
4- straddlejump two times then jump and turn and straddle jump two times on other side
5- in, out, in, on, in over
6- twist and jump
7- jump with feet crisscrossed on both 7 times
8- jump with both feet on one, back and forth 8 times
9- pull father string back and jump on closer string
10- mother, father, sister, brother( tap twice on first string, tap twice with other foot on first string, jump with both on second string, then jump over
11- same as 8, just 11 times
12- pull farther string back then jump backwards on farther string

It changes and evolves every year. They probably know how to play from school, and if not look for some films on YouTube.
In England we called it French skipping.

Wow! I’m impressed how well you explained each step!
This is how we played too, in addition to what effess said on levels/widths.
There was another way we played by having I think 6 people holding the rubber and counting 1,2,3,4 and going in and around… I’m not so good as explaining as you! We also played a version of that with just 2 ends.

Love this! I was showing my kids in the summer how we used to play and I definitely missed some of these.
Don't forget 0 when you jump to the other side!

I am 34, it was a game we played so often, so it’s one of those random memories that I do remember

What is chitty chitty bang bang? Can you describe that step?

Wouldn't know, never got past number 3....
