This is a very practical question when purchasing second hand - how do you transport it? Most items (table, chairs, large appliances, couch, bookshelves) won't fit in a regular car. Most won't even fit in a minivan. Often, large furniture needs to be taken apart and reassembled.

So without spending hundreds on movers, how???

You can use the dolly app. Also you'd be surprised what fits in a mini van with all the seats down.

Lugg is pretty cheap it's like an Uber for furniture.
Uhaul rentals with a dolly also very affordable

I rented a uhaul truck (they have different sizes).
I had tried to hire a few high school boys to help me but they were unable to/never got back to me. In the end 2 relatives came and helped.
It was cheaper than lugg app. If I had ended up paying 2 boys to help, it may have been about the same depending on what they charged. But I like flat fee rather than a per minute fee...

Maybe you can ask around if someone wants to lend you a pickup truck for a few hours.
And like the other poster said, with all seats down in a minivan and/or take of legs from table etc you can fit alot of stuff in.

Most items fit in our minvan, with some squeezing and unscrewing where necessary. Otherwise we have rented a van for an hour or 2 to transport some larger items.

I have seen noted on their trucks that they usually charge for mileage also, just something to keep in mind. - (uhaul)

Someone once offered us their trampoline. We found a couple of bachurim who carried it down the block, which was so much easier than taking it apart and then rebuilding it.
Also if the item/s aren't so far away, then doing multiple trips is also an option.
I guess it depends how often you're replacing and getting things.

There needs to be a local bachurim app.
