I don't have a Bosch but I have a bread maker.
Someone told me that they make delicious challa with their bread maker
They put ingredients in and take it out when dough rises
Anyone have exact instructions and tips for me to do this?
Ty!

My bread machine has a dough cycle. It's 1.5 hours, so I imagine that it differs across machines, and it beeps when it's finished.
What model bread machine do you have? Does it have a dough cycle?

1.5 cups water
1/3 cup oil
1 -1.5 tsp salt
1/3-1/2 cup sugar
4 cups flour ( sometimes needs more, depends on your climate)
3 tsp yeast
Can use 1/2 cup less water and add 2 eggs if you want an egg challah
Put ingredients in that order in the machine. Press dough cycle. When it’s done see if dough has risen to the top. If not let it sit for another 30 minutes until it rises to the top.
Braid or form, put on egg glaze, then let sit thirty minutes. I usually make 2 challot and one roll. Bake at 350 for about 20-30 minutes depending on your oven

Your bread machine should have a dough cycle. That’s what you use. Mine has regular and quick one. I have a recipe for 4 and 6 cups and use whichever I’m in the mood for. I’ll try to remember to post them tomorrow.

I just mix and rise in my machine. I use the pizza mode bec it is fastest. Otherwise can use dough mode. But then shape and bake in my oven.
It’s a 2.5 lb machine.
I got the base of this recipe years ago on this website. https://www.imamother.com/foru.....42060
6.5 cups flour.
1/2 cup sugar
1 T salt
1 egg
1/2 cup oil
2 cup water
1.5 T yeast
Mix and ride in machine. Remove. Shape. I do 3-4 very small challah. Rise 1 hr. Paint. Bake
