My 2 yr old didn’t come home with any projects this week though my 3 yr old in the same daycare came home with a bunch.
My kid does lots of projects at home and I was so excited to see what he’d come home with. Is this the norm?
He’s younger two for reference.

They should be doing projects at this age.
My 18 month old came home with 2 projects that he colored this week.
Maybe ask the morah about it?

My 22 month old came home with just a newsletter this week and I’m totally fine with that. It’s just the beginning, kids are still crying and getting used to the morah. I’m sure they’ll start sending home projects soon.

They do very simple stuff like painting. They do a lot of sensory play that they don’t take home because it’s not projects but is great for them

Yes but it’s mostly just coloring. And sometimes the morah adds some staples to make it into something.

Yes, but not till the 3rd week of school IME. also they do a lot more big things that are only sent home at the end or are used to decorate the classrooms vs a small colorimy page.

Many places will have these be optional (as they should be!) and it's possible they did offer and your child preferred to play... Give it a little time and you'll probably start seeing some masterpieces.

My three year old came home with a project but no newsletter! Thought a newsletter was standard. Would love to know how the Morah is tracking things so I could discuss it with him.

I'm a morah for younger 2yr old group.
Although I do projects regularly during year (I really don't like to!) This week my job was to keep the kids happy! Unless r"h comes out on the first week of school, I wait until kids are settled and there are no crying kids to do projects!

My kid was at a new Morah last year so hardly came with projects. But in an established daycare I’d expect projects. How many days did they have though?

Mine doesn't and I don't care at all. She is happy there and they have tonnzzz of toys. Why does she need to bring home projects?! (That the morah made during time she could have played with them)

On the first day My two year old colored a paper hat said I love school and morah made it into a necklace. My friends same aged kid colored something that said I survived my first day and made it into a hat.
My two year old didn’t make any other projects last week
Over the summer she made projects (ie colored stuff, fruit loop necklace) pretty often.

Agree with the layers saying to give it a few weeks! The kids might still be crying a lot and Morah’s is trying to adjust them to routine!
My kid does but I
have an older two, almost three and that year really makes a big difference in development
As a morah for twos though, if a kid really doesn’t want to do projects I do t force them to do a ton. Maybe just every so often. This happens sometimes with the more high energy boys
