How hard is this to do at home? I would like to do it for yom tov. There is a place a few blocks away that doesn't charge much so am willing to have it done professionally if it's better, but if it's easily doable myself would rather spend $ and time elsewhere.

I haven’t tried it at home, but I saw recently than European wax center offers this service now for 22$ and 50% off a new service.

Yes. Easily doable.

I used to get it done, very cheap where I live until she showed me what she uses and how to do it.

I use refectocil brown tint and comes with tinting solution, its a clear liquid.

You mix equal amounts of them together in a small cup and put on eyebrows.
Leave for 3-5 mins and wipe off with cotton pads.

They do look very dark first day- they tint the skin a bit but it wears away.
Dont be put off ,they fade a little.

It’s very ez I do it myself often.
I use this with a spoolie (not the applicator it comes with)

It has enough to be used many times

You need to read instructions and videos from reviewers.
Be careful to shape Vaseline outside of eyebrow lines with qtip before you start to make sure that dye doesn't end up on fuzz above eyebrow or extra on side of eyebrow.

And what are YOUR tips and tricks?

Also, is it an issue of chatzitza for mikvah?

I ordered it! Does the dye get applied to your skin, or just to your brows when you use a spoolie? Does it last longer if it's on the skin?

When you mix the liquid with the tint, it becomes like a thick ish mixture, so no danger of it getting in your eyes.

I apply with a q tip but the proffesionals use a special brush.
Im fine without it.

I would advise to be aware that it tints the skin temporarily but this will come off!
It is only made to tint actual hair.

If I have a wedding or a yomtov coming up , I like to do it a few days before for this reason.

You cant really go too wrong.

my brow lady told me to use exfoliator if it ever got in my skin (for when I cant go to her). I dye my hair at home so I have a hair dye remover for the skin that I use for brows and it gets off very easy from brows, much easier than hair dye.

Is this a chatzitza? I had to go to the mikvah 16 days apart, if I had done it 2 weeks before going to the mikvah world that be a problem?

No, different procedure for tinting lashes and you cant do it yourself.

I dont think its a chatzitzah at all.
Its coloring the hair.

Can I just put a drop of dye on a new/clean eyebrow brush (it looks like a mascara wand) and gently apply to my brows?
(I sometimes apply a drop of mascara to my eyebrows so maybe it’s like the same idea?)
