I love long skirts but I feel like only skinny ppl look "dressed" in them. I always feel like km wearing shluchy clothing when I wear long skirts.
Anyone other plus size ppl agree?

I actually feel more slender in it. I love my maxis. Dresses on the other hand I look terrible in.

I love my maxis and midi skirts. I find its all about finding the right shirts. To me thats what makes the outfit look dowdy or not.

I agree. If you're short like me fuggedaboutit.
I wear them anyway because it's so comfortable but I never look dressed in them.

Feel the same way! I'm short and plus sized and I only wear them in the house when I want to feel comfortable. I don't care how stylish maxis are, I only wear knee length.

I'm short- ish & never started with the midi skirts. So not flattering for shorter folks. I shorten everything to below the knee. I like to look fashionable but not if the fashion doesn't suit my figure.

I'm short and zoftig but I love flowy ankle-length skirts. Maybe I look sloppy, I neither know nor care. What I don't love is that I have to lift the hems when going up and down stairs, otherwise I literally sweep the floor and pick up dirt when I go down steps, and get trapped by stepping on the hem when I go up. Almost happened to me at my own wedding! Also they tend to get caught in car and elevator doors, but IME this is true of all voluminous skirts regardless of length.

The reason why I don’t wear maxis right here ☝️

I wear them because I know I'm covered in all positions and I won't have to think before I move. I like them, too.
I've never got the "knee length" is most attractive. I think comfortably below the knee, not necessarily maxi, but close to or at midi, is flattering, especially for chunky women. (Of which I am one.)

Yes.
I hate the feel of so much extra material around me esp when its hot.
Plus I find it makes me look so much shorter like with no shape.
Showing a bit of leg makes me look thinner.
I still have them but I feel better in short.
