I work from home and when I'm working sometimes - but not every day - I wash and eat bread for lunch or a snack. I'm on the phone listening to or participating in meetings for much of the day, which makes it easy to eat and work but hard to bentch and work. So I'm embarrassed to admit that sometimes I just forget to bentch. (I have no problem remembering to bentch at nights or on the weekends.)
Am I the only frum adult who ever forgets to bentch? I feel like I can't be the only one.
Any tips for remembering to bentch?

At this stage of life I only wash Shabbos so it’s easy to remember. I went thru a stage where I washed for breakfast but I sat at the table and didn’t get up till I benched

Yes so I cut back a lot on washing during the week. I get too distracted.

I made a hachlata to make a bracha acharona at least once a day. For some reason that helps me pay attention at every meal and now I bentch way more often.

I think everyone does sometimes. Recently I started saying the first bracha right away. It takes 2 minutes or less, during which short time I can manage to not speak. That way if I forget by time meeting is over at least have said SOMETHING.

Yes, and bracha acharona! It's such a struggle. It's chodesh Elul. I should really make it my resolution.

I also forget. Maybe put a bencher right in front of you. Or set an alarm to remind you.

I used to forget a lot more. So I started working on myself to bentch right away. If I need to do something before I bentch, then I put a bentcher on the table so that I’ll remember
