I'm not watching that particular show but I have had a fascination for all things cult for many years. Watching and analysing why people would follow other leaders and the unfortunate punishments and lifestyle this leads to. I love watching youtube clips on different cults/churches just for the information.
Peter Santanello has many youtube videos on different sects.

Im not watching it because I would be appalled if they made a show "the secret life of orthodox Jews" and featured exclusively people otd and publicize adultery (Taylor Paul became famous because she exposed that her entire group of friends are swingers and she got divorced because of it)

Very interesting show. But they're really portraying the worst of the Mormons. Really reminded me on unorthodox with the heart family

I didn't watch this particular show but I have a Mormon friend in Utah and her life is totally not how they portray it on the shows I've watched.
She is her husband's only wife has 6 children together.
One of them has chosen a different path and it's very painful to her.
Seemed like regular (non Jewish but) religious life to me.
