Near Carlisle, Scotland.
Was beautiful but weather wasn't too good lots of rain and strong winds.
Hiked and biked everyday and shopped when the weather made the outdoors too difficult.
Next year hope to go to Italy or France.

Did you go to Tennessee and hike in the mountains there?

We were in TN for a week but we didn’t do any hiking. We have little ones and decided to keep the itinerary geared towards activities we know they like

I went to a medium sized northeast city within driving distance of where I live bc I was in my 8th month didn’t want to fly.

Most people I know did small trips like that or maybe Florida etc. I don’t know anyone who went to Europe South America etc

I live in Toms River

The Altair? Can you give a little more details about how it was? What are the rooms like? How was the food? And what if any activities did you do? Thanks.

I was there this winter for two nights. Breakfast is included but we didn't try their on-site fleishig restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is good but not as lavish as Israeli hotels. Also, I was there during busy season so there was a wait to get into the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel is way smaller than I expected. They don't really have a huge lobby to chill in. You can't really hang out in the building to relax other than your room. There's a small pool with short separate swimming hours. They also have a shuttle to go to a beach but the beach is pretty far away and we waited a really long time to be picked up from the beach (the shuttle to the beach around 20 minutes late to pick up and too many people were waiting, so it would have needed to do a few round trip routes-easily an hour at least- didn't help that some people arrived to the bus pick up stop after us but pushed in ahead of us on the bus Sad .) We gave up and took an Uber back.
The next day we skipped Altair's beach and walked over to Grand Beach Hotel and hung out at their beach. It's a prettier beach too.
