WWYD? Child is above grade level in English reading. Really struggling with kriah. Knows all letters and nekudos but fluency is way below where it should be.

I was told this is often a vision issue. He was tested by Dr Cohen from Eyes on 9 who said his vision is perfect.

Would you go to a different doctor regarding vision? Or is something else going on.

You need a functional/developmental vision exam. In lkwd Dr press does this. There's also Sarah Lane and Dr. Moshe Roth

I have the same issue. It's a different eye test not the regular glasses one, it's about tracking. I did it and my kid was fine and is still behind in kriah. I think it's common with adhd.

Hi just saw your reply. Adhd is suspected but not diagnosed. Did you consult Dr Press? I’m wondering if it’s worth my while or if something else is likely the cause. His kriah tutor is really not being helpful here.

I have a relative in EY that just went through this. They went to a specialist (I don't have the name) in England. She said the testing was fascinating where they took pictures of all the kid's eye movements. They then prescribed and made some sort of prism lens glasses.
I know they have a follow up in a few months.
